Introduction
The funeral has become an important ceremonial custom which pays
tribute
to the life of the deceased, while providing support for the bereaved.
It is the final opportunity for family and friends to publicly express
their love for the deceased, and to share their grief with others.
It is
also important in helping the bereaved work through the grieving
process.
About Turnbull Family Funerals
Turnbull Family Funerals (Hooper & Burgess), commenced trading
in 1936.
The funeral home building, at 71 Letitia Street North Hobart, is
registered by the National Trust. We offer a personalised and
all-inclusive funeral service.
On site, there is parking for 120 cars amongst landscaped gardens.
The
building contains two chapels, one seats in excess of 250 people,
while
our family chapel seats up to 50 people. Also off the chapel is
a
lovely, fully-licensed catering/reception area, with an accompanying
outdoor area.
We are Hobart's only funeral home with an on-site cremation facility.
There is also an extensive memorial selection room. With a funeral
service, we believe family and friends should be together without
unnecessary traveling from one venue to another.
If you choose to hold the service at a church followed by a burial
or
cremation, Turnbull's can assist with all these arrangements.
